SMILE Youth Ministry Program

SMILE stands for Something More In Life Expected. Since you are a child of God and a very special gift to your parish, you deserve something more in life. Hopefully, SMILE will help provide that "something more" just for you!

On the other hand, since you are a child of God and very special, Something More In Life Expected by you! As Catholic Christians we are called to reach out to others and spread Gods love. This can mean "being there" when a friend is in need or reaching out to people who are lonely, in need, or helping those less fortunate. It also means getting involved in your parish communtiy!

The SMILE program is designed for youth from 7th grade through High School. Besides standing for Something More In Life Expected, SMILE stands for:

Social: Dances, get-togethers, trips, meetings...any kind of fun activity where you can get together with friends and have a chance to get to know other teens in your parish.

Ministry: Having the opportunity to reach out to others by using your own unique gifts and talents.

Informing and Including: This means spreading the news about SMILE and making sure that everyone is included in the fun! Talk with friends about upcoming events and invite people to activities and meetings.

Living ~ Loving ~ Learning: Its all about walking with each other as we journey through these important years. In some ways SMILE gives you a chance to put all that you learn about your faith into action. As you know more about yourself, you have a better understanding of what God calls you to do. It is at this point that you can reach out to others and make a difference in the world.

Everbody and Everday: SMILE is a support system. Its a comfortable place to be where people (both adults and teens) care about each other and are there to support and help each other at all times.
